The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies towards the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency mentioned it's alarmed with regard to the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area every day. The services level made for intervention ordeals a large inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to enable the servicing of all buyers and maximize use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
